My education and experience specializing in various counseling techniques for almost 20 years enables me to use various therapy methods in a safe environment that can help individuals or couples move through their life challenges. As a therapist, my goal is to help you understand why you react the way you do so change can happen. Awareness can create change. We all develop habits, reactions and 'triggers' resulting from our life experiences. There are life experiences that can interfere with being happy or having happy relationships with each others or with your children. My job is to help you find those triggers and understand the scattered puzzle pieces of your life and then help you put a healthier puzzle back together.
My focus is to help you understand why you feel the way you do, where the problem stems from, and to help you to move forward toward healing. The who, what and why can be the keys to understanding the problems.
For couples, I help you find out why the problems exist and find the triggers that affect your relationship. I offer a neutral nonjudgemental safe place where both sides are always heard. It's a place where I listen to both of your concerns, and together we create a healthier direction that works for both of you.
My goal is to help you grow and learn from your life struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
For couples, I promise not to be judgmental or 'take sides'. I honor individual confidentiality and will work hard to help you through your problems.
I do not get involved in any court or child related proceedings.
As a therapist, even though I ask the hard questions, I truly respect and appreciate how hard it is to be vulnerable with a stranger.
